Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Mining Engineering, or related field
  2. ⁠Minimum 3–5 years of experience in coal trading, with hands-on involvement in managing transactions or trade flows
  3. Strong understanding of coal specifications (GAR, GCV, CV, TM, Ash, Sulfur, HGI) and their commercial implications
  4. ⁠Solid knowledge of Indonesian coal regulations (ESDM, MODI, SNI, DMO, PNBP)
  5. ⁠Proven network with coal buyers, miners, or trading companies (domestic & international)
  6. ⁠Strong negotiation and commercial skills with the ability to close deals independently
  7. ⁠Fluent in English (spoken & written) for daily communication and contract negotiation
  8. ⁠Mandarin proficiency is a plus
  9. ⁠Familiarity with shipping terms (FOB, CIF, CFR) and trade finance instruments (LC, SBLC, DP, DA) is an advantage

Job Description:

  1. ⁠Execute end-to-end coal trading transactions (domestic and export), from price discovery to contract closing
  2. ⁠Monitor global coal benchmarks (Newcastle Index, ICI 1–4, Platts) and analyze market trends to support trading decisions
  3. ⁠Negotiate pricing, specifications, and commercial terms with buyers and suppliers to maximize margins
  4. ⁠Draft, review, and negotiate Coal Sale & Purchase Agreements (SPA) in line with company policies
  5. ⁠Ensure compliance with Indonesian coal regulations and export requirements
  6. ⁠Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely and on-spec coal delivery
  7. ⁠Collaborate with finance for payment processing, invoicing, and Letter of Credit (LC) management
  8. ⁠Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, suppliers, and trading partners
  9. ⁠Identify new market opportunities and expand trading networks across regional and global markets
  10. ⁠Represent the company in meetings, site visits, and industry engagements
